Mesa is an international artist and illustrator working out of Baltimore. She specializes in aesthetic display of information, especially medical and scientific subject matter. Mesa’s art has been exhibited in Asia, Europe, and across the United States, and her illustration has taken her around the world.

Mesa holds a degree in Anthropological Science with a specialization in Anatomy and Archaeology from Stanford University (2008). She earned a Graduate Certificate in Natural Science Illustration from the University of Washington (2012). She is currently working on a MA in Art as Applied to Medicine at Johns Hopkins Medical School, planned graduation in Spring of 2015.

Mesa has illustrated for National Geographic, The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, The National Zoo and Aquarium, Clients at Academic institutions such as Stanford, Harvard, UC Berkeley, Santa Cruz, and Merced, Oxford, Johns Hopkins University and many more. Her archaeological art has taken her on site in digs in Turkey, Belize, Peru, and Portugal.
